Main switchboard installation
Keeping your home’s power safe and up to standard
Your switchboard (or fuse box) is what everything runs through. It’s where your home’s power is managed and protected. In older homes, these boards are often out of date or struggling to keep up with how much electricity we use these days.
If your switchboard hasn’t been checked in a while, or if you’re renovating or adding major appliances, it might be time to upgrade.
Common reasons to upgrade:
- Your switchboard doesn’t have RCDs
- The board is overloaded or tripping frequently
- You’re adding heat pumps, EV chargers, or other large appliances
- You’ve noticed buzzing, burning smells, or warm areas near the board
- You’re renovating or preparing the home for sale
