Main switchboard upgrades done right

The main switchboard is where it all begins. Every circuit in your building runs through it – which means if it’s out of date, overloaded or simply not up to spec, you’re running a real risk.

We upgrade and install main switchboards for commercial sites, replacing old fuse boxes with modern, compliant, RCD-protected systems designed for today’s power demands. Whether you’re planning a full rewire or just need to upgrade the switchboard itself, we’ll make sure your setup is safe, future-ready, and built to last.

Why upgrade your main switchboard?

Improved safety with RCD protection
Older boards often lack residual current devices (RCDs) – a key safety feature that shuts off power instantly if a fault is detected. Installing RCDs helps prevent electrical fires, protects your team from electric shock, and makes isolating faults much easier during maintenance.

Handles modern loads
The power demands of commercial buildings have changed a lot in recent years. HVAC systems, IT networks, charging stations, and energy-hungry equipment all put pressure on older systems. A new switchboard ensures your building can handle the load without the risk of overloading or faults.

Smart design, better layout
We design and install boards that match your setup, with space for future expansion, clear labelling, and neat organisation. If you’re planning further electrical work down the track, it pays to start with a board that’s been built with flexibility in mind.

Certified and compliant
We work to current AS/NZS 3000 standards and supply all the necessary compliance documentation when the job’s done. No shortcuts – just solid work you can trust.

What’s involved – and what does it cost?

Every site is different. We’ll assess your existing setup, talk through your power usage and future plans, and recommend the right solution. Once we’ve nailed down the scope, we’ll send through a clear, no-obligation quote.

Whether you’re replacing an old board or need a full install for a new site, we’ll make sure your switchboard is safe, compliant, and built to meet the demands of your business. Get in touch with the team today.
